Hello! I am specialized in cross-border M&A transactions, especially Asian outbound transactions into developed markets like Europe, North America and Australia. Culture issue is also a key consideration in the transaction process as well as post-completion integration. I did not even say “cultural integration” because based on my past experience, it’s nearly impossible to really INTEGRATE the business and corporate culture between the east and west. The best you can hope for is a mutual understanding and collaboration. Particularly, the culture of target businesses (in mature/developed markets) is typically considered more advanced or mature in the business world, making it more challenging for the buyers (from developing Asia) to influence it. Do you have any experience or tips to share on this?
