ParticipantHow is artificial intelligence expected to impact the landscape of mergers and acquisitions, from deal sourcing and due diligence to post-merger integration, and what potential challenges and opportunities does it present for businesses involved in such transactions?

ParticipantWith the advancement of AI.
Farming or sourcing will be easier. It will be akin to a search engine. Though not perfect. In terms of DD, AI will shine in the financial realm.
Maths which is AI forte can reduce work load with financial calculation.December 21, 2023 at 4:38 pm #93435Manish
ParticipantDeal sourcing with AI integration into existing tools such as Pitchbook will allow companies to navigate and find opportunities easier with less time and effort required. Potential challenges might be in biases that exist in algorithms in these tools. How are these AI tools being tested to ensure they are bias free, will likely be a hot topic in the future.

Jamie MorganParticipantI am interested to see if there will also be a boom in security and legal concerns in the M&A field in relation to use of AI. Lack of clear operating procedures for using AI models could pose risks to confidential information, provided within the M&A process, being used correctly. I do think AI offers a range of efficiency optimization abilities, especially to the DD workstream.

ParticipantArtificial intelligence is transforming M&A by enhancing data analysis, due diligence, and decision-making speed. For students learning about this field, using the best AI detector can ensure academic integrity when researching AI’s role in M&A. Educational tools like this support honest work while exploring how AI reshapes mergers and acquisitions with greater precision and efficiency.

ParticipantAi can possibly be used to identify leads and conduct simple valuation. For someone new to M&A, it can smoothen the learning curve. Analysts’ jobs may become less useful. There may be a shift towards more senior hires and cost cutting. There may be new entrants into the field.

Max-Egon U.ParticipantAs everywhere, I believe AI is shaking up M&A as well by making deal sourcing smarter, due diligence faster, and post-merger integration smoother. Tools like NLP and predictive analytics help spot risks and opportunities that humans might miss, while automation streamlines back-office tasks after the deal closes. But it’s not all smooth sailing—data quality, algorithm bias, and cultural integration still need human oversight. For companies that get it right, AI offers a serious edge in speed, insight, and execution.
I am very curious to find out how long it will take to leverage AI to its full potential. So far I can only see the first indications but for example agents are yet rarely used I believe. -
