DD taking too long

Have you ever faced a situation where the DD was taking too long, as the parties involved were not really trusting each other? How did you support the management to finalize the decision one way or the other?
I have. It has to be escalated up the chain of command and clarity needs to be provided on the desired outcomes. “Materiality” is usually the root cause – where teams dont agree on why certain information or documents need to be availed. The importance of it isnt apparent to one side. At some point a decision has to be made either way. It also helps if the initial letter of intent was well crafted to avoid this.
