What do you think about determining exit strategies?
If things are going well, even very well, what internal or external criteria do you examine before selling the business?I think you plan for them from the start. It’s not about things going wrong—it’s about being a good steward of the business. Even when things are going well, I would ask: are we still the right team to take it to the next level? Is the market telling us it’s the right time to create value? If a sale opens up more opportunity—for the business and the people in it—I don’t let ego get in the way.
