How should you approach due diligence differently for an add-on acquisition vs. a platform acquisition?

DD should be broad and deep for a platform acquisition, while it should be specific-focused for add-on acquisition.
Furthermore, risk tolerance on DD findings must be lower, integration review and evaluation should be more crucial for a platform acquisition.
