Hi everyone. I am wondering if anyone has successfully devised and deployed this type of strategy in any industry but particularly in the automotive sector? I have heard of at least 2 people in the US who have began to acquire garage businesses (one has acquired between 90-100 smaller owner led businesses from operators who are nearing retiring) under a large Holding Company – https://mainstreetauto.com/. He seems to leave the businesses with their original names and people (bar the owners either retire or get deployed as consultants, managers etc. in other areas of the businesses).
